Uncanny. Their skating is pretty generic, so actually almost any calm-ish lyrical-ish piece would fit any program they did, but, more than that, they have only one rhythm and one way of phrasing: dadadada hold. Da da da da hold. Da da da da applause.

  1. That is both hilarious and horrifying. Ugh.

  2. Is it weird that I actually liked the swapped versions of the programs? But I do see your point. Hopefully the next time someone on p/c camp brings up why such & such skaters keep repeating their style, show them this. The. End.

    1. I also like this year's program with last season's music.

    2. Each program flows better with the other program's music. The Moonlight Sonata choreography feels less static with the earlier music.

  3. Check out the comment thread by Dance Dance in V/M ACI short (sort the comments by newest first, it shouldn't be too far from the top) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eCVxakYhD-Q

    1. My guess is it's someone from G&P or W&P's camp. I'm thinking G&P, I know they had to be frustrated to come so close and not pass W&P, but they put out such absolute crap at ACI.

    2. It has to be PC. There's no way even W&P or G&P ubers would be in any position to critique VM's technique or pretend to.

    3. DD is a P/C fan. S/he complimented their "new" FD

  4. Just read it. Pathetic that people know so little about figure skating or ice dance they believe palms need to be greased for VM to win. The P/C people are out their narrating like crazy.

    1. P.S. I guess "Scott is injured" is the new "Tessa is fat." Seen that claim a couple of times around the web.

    2. And the other is the goddess/ethereal/true art/refined vs prostitute/heavy/fake art/tacky comparison.

They're getting scared. So now they've taken steps so that in the event of a V/M triumph over P/C, they can all proclaim corruption sanctimoniously.

If any palms were greased, it was for the benefit of P/C. What teams' scores go up 43 points in the space of one year?

  5. Ah, I notice the two v/m haters (whom I refuse to name) are back to spread their usual s*** on the comment section. Ignore them or others who feel the same. If the narrative is to say p/c is more powerful, innovative or appealing than v/m, so be it. It's not like their words have any power over how the panel of judges at competitions. (Hopefully) Let's just watch how this season will play out as it did last season. Btw who ever thought about swapping these videos may be giving P/C team just the direction on how they'd improve their program this season. Just saying ...

    1. Innovative is the biggest bullshit word in figure skating. There is nothing innovative about a skating style - lyrical contemporary - which itself is a mash-up - that has been done for four decades and counting.
