Lining some stuff up

For me this blog is, among other related things, a chronicle of the lies and inconsistencies we get from Virtue Moir's camp. The discussion in the comment section in the post below this one, as well as Scott and Tessa's recent interview with P.J. Kwong, and my thinking about how Bill Thompson showed up on FSU to deny SC attempted to influence the judging in a pro-Gilles/Poirier direction at Canadians, made me remember I want to bookmark the period from 4CC's-2011 to Worlds 2011, particularly in light of some things Scott and Tessa have said subsequent to Worlds 2012. That's all this post is - organizing those thoughts. So:

1. In the run-up to the 4CCs, as the blog has said numerous times, we heard about Tessa and Scotts's two, count em - TWO - did they mention TWO? new programs. 4CC's 2011 demonstrates Skate Canada's very elementary grasp of effective lying. For SC, the best way to lie is - whatever the truth is, claim the opposite. So when I see that Bill Thompson has bestirred himself to go to FSU to rebut - what? 3 posters? having a bit of snark about Gilles/Poirier politicking, one can only conclude that Thompson's lecture that he would never attempt to influence judges is, in fact, Thompson's confession that SC attempted to influence the judges.

2. Scott's mom & friends whined like a Canadian women's soccer team on fb when Scott and Tessa got silver in Worlds 2011. And Scott and Tessa and Skate Canada would have us believe that the only reason Scott and Tessa didn't skate TWO, count em, TWO, programs at 4CCs 2011 two months prior was Tessa's quad flared up. And the only reason Tessa and Scott didn't compete at Canadians the preceding January was their coaches said no. But they were ready!

Okay.

But Scott, post-2012,  has also called Worlds 2011 a roll of the dice. Seriously? Two months after being competition ready at the 4CCs, a delayed Worlds was a roll of the dice?

Why was Tessa gassed at the end of her Worlds fd (about 2 months after 4CCs) if she was so ready at the 4CCs? She wasn't yet in peak condition by April? Wow, imagine what shape the lp was actually in past that point where she bailed. It was looking a little shaky before that, in fact.

Scott said he and Tessa wanted Worlds 2012 because unlike roll-of-the-dice 2011, for Worlds 2012 they'd put in the training and wanted the reward.

Really. So you weren't ready to skate Canadians 2011 (held in January) as you've both said over and over? Despite attending Western Challenge and Skate Canada? Canadians, you take a pass on even attending? How come? But make no mistake, you were ready to and wanted to skate, except your coaches said no. Otherwise you'd have been out there competing, no quad flares, no out-of-breath?

I don't think this all fits together.

Thank you for blogging this chronicle. It's been most illuminating.

  2. If Scott and Jessica really were fake - that's a lot of mouth-kissing photos on the blog's title page. If it's all pretense that is so majorly disgusting.
They put this on public facebook? Ewww.

    1. Put it on facebook and routinely had family and friends announce a new album on Jessica's wall. Her Scott albums were linked on her wall so everybody would be sure to see it. Furthermore, the ickiest stuff was always unloaded just as Scott and Tessa were most in the spotlight.

    2. I maintain one reason the kiss photos were icky was because Jessica and Scott were such a ridiculous match you could see it, as the saying goes, from space. They were ill-matched, self-conscious and stagey. Pair that with "intimacy" and it looks like somebody doesn't want to be there but there he is, and so yuck is the result. Jessica is as tedious a gawd-help-us (quoting P.G. Wodehouse) as ever laced up skates, Scott is not. A host of negative emotions were always being subdued by Scott so he could take a photo - and he was seldom successful. Jessica always just showed her as-ever receptiveness to the still camera, no matter who she's with or how she feels, it's moth-to-flame for her. The video camera is a whole other deal, which is kind of strange for someone as image conscious as she. Maybe she thinks photos are more easily preserved than video.

How does this look genuine? To take these kinds of photos and then save them for weeks or months and all of a sudden, Voila! They're public. Huh?
I don't see how they dress this up in the future to be any kind of acceptable or respectable.

    4. And you're definitely right about Jessica. She's ever happy to smile at a camera lens. Maybe that's why they were able to get away with this for so long. No matter how uncomfortable Scott looks, Jessica can twinkle and smile into the camera. Ick.

  3. You bring up something that did puzzle me during that last half of the 2010-2011 season. Tessa and Scott kept saying they felt ready to go to Nationals. Okay, so then they said the coaches didn't feel they were quite ready, but they definitely gave the impression that the coaches' reasons had to do with the programs not having enough mileage, not because Tessa was not yet recuperated enough to get trough a FD. So then Worlds is delayed a whole month, and she still very clearly didn't have enough energy at the end of the FD. They had obviously needed every single extra day of that delay to train. What we actually saw during Worlds contradicted what they had been saying all along about their readiness to compete. It did make me question what the hell they were doing at 4CC in February. No way Tessa was ready to skate a full FD.

I must add something else I've remembered now from Worlds 2011. Wasn't that when Jessica suddenly shut down her public facebook page, but then left a message for her "chum" Scott, by way of Annie Barabe's public wall, who also happened to be at Worlds? Poor girl didn't have any way of sending her long-time amoreux a private message (email, or texting, or facebook pm's hadn't been invented). Like that was really credible. *rolleyes*
Now someone on the facebook "Addicted" page is claiming Scott and Jessica are still together. Maybe they will confirm via proxy through someone's public facebook. Lol

    1. I have the date where she restricted her fb but I do remember her sending a message via Annie for Worlds.

Tessa and Scott didn't compete at Canadians, and could not have, but why didn't they attend? I don't believe they've ever offered a reason. They both stayed away. Do love Debbi Wilkes, in that Hershey Center "autograph signing" (that nobody who actually went to the competition saw, and where Debbi was in a sparse line that appeared comprised of arena employees and SC volunteers) was really pushing them to say they'd be at Canadians. She's a very enthusiastic liar, Debbi is. She likes the hoax part.

It would have been such a great opportunity to sell more books, not to mention, it had been announced that "Jessica's boyfriend Scott Moir" helped choreograph the SP. Shouldn't he have been there to cheer on the GF? I think the official reason was VM had to stay home and train for 4CC. Still, a couple days at Nationals for books and Jessica seems reasonable, don't you think? At least a shout-out from Scott or the VM camp wishing Scott's GF a good competition. ;)

    1. You would think. Scott and Tessa were even more time pressed for Skate Canada 2008. Tessa had only just returned to training, and they were behind. Scott, though, attended Skate Canada, and told the media that though Tessa wanted to be there, neither one of them wanted to risk the chance that walking/standing at Skate Canada would impact her legs and keep her off the ice even longer. Attending Skate Canada back then, despite their very late start, wasn't considered a time waster (he did not stage sham there).

Are you talking about Skate Canada 2008?
He did stage sham. Or else the "staging" was just someone spreading lies (in that case, I'd say with express permission from V/M and Co.). At FSU there was talk that during SC Scott and Jessica were seen cuddling, kissing and acting very "couple-y." Tessa wasn't in attendance but Scott did go and apparently was there as Jessica's bf.

    1. I don't consider that staging sham because I don't believe anybody saw that. That's just typical fan bullshit, not instigated by VM, Inc.

What people did see was Scott behind the scenes, alone, during the paso cds. He watched some events with Jeff Buttle. He was briefly scene "dancing with" Anabelle Langlois (goofing) and assured fans who asked that Tessa was doing great. But actually seen with Jessica or actually there to stage being her bf? Didn't happen. Fans speculated that could have been his agenda but they weren't seen. The kissing and cuddling stories fall into the same category as airports, restaurants, baseball games, BOTB. It's always lip kissing (the ultimate smoking gun) and same description. Nobody ever "spots" a supposed couple in line at a concession stand, getting into their car, clothes shopping, one talking on their cell while the other waits, or other normal couple activity at a public event. It's always "kissing and cuddling." In this case, that's on fan liars, not the sham.
