In fact if you shut up and slept the
whole way it would be great.

Look at them sitting together on the plane,
something they never ever do.
As DW's p.r. hammers home they have
exactly zero competition, not even Scott and Tessa
(who have become nameless in a lot of DW hype),
the reality show reminds us that everybody
is VM's competition, and they still struggle
to separate themselves.
"It's hard to know if it's skating that has kept us
together, or if it's our marriage, small daughter,
and lying. We might get rid of all of it
after we retire."

I love how incredibly uncomfortable Scott looks at times when Tessa lies, such as when she says they had to come to Paris to spend time together off the ice. But when it comes to hyping up his dick, he's all over that. He's got emasculation panic or his family/community does, and she is a straight up psychopath.

I'm going to put up some of the skating videos later. It feels a bit futile, as if it's beating a dead horse. We KNOW what's going on. We don't need to prove it. But I think it's important to have it there anyway.

I found this blog that does a great job of describing who DW's real competition should be and how they don't measure up...

    1. Love it!

That screencap showing DW 180 degrees out of unison during their twizzles in the SD at the GPF is quite something.

    2. Well you do one less twizzle set than everyone else AND you are of out of unison on top of it - and you get the highest level and GOE?..okay...

    3. Makes you wonder how much money is exchanging hands in order to call DW's skating "great." It's a travesty.

    4. I read that too. Idiots indeed. It's also funny how she's going on about how unfair it is for V/M fans to be questioning D/W's twizzle mistake and saying how we don't know anything. Would she give D/W +3 GOE for their GPF SD twizzles?

    6. That's a great blog. It is pretty clear from those pictures that DW *do* make mistakes--they just aren't marked down for them so people just pretend they didn't happen (because the protocols are the only evidence we need of a clean skate, apparently).

Notice how the only defense of some of these people is to completely ignore what has actually been said and instead just call anyone challenging DW's scores stupid? I remember reading a discussion about the twizzles in the VM thread and people showed on video where they made the mistake that should result in a downgrade. They showed that Charlie stopped moving across the ice and I could see it with my own eyes when I watched it. It is just like the pictures and explanations in the bookie thread. No one challenged the arguments that were being made (except to say that the technical callers made the calls so they must be right), they just called the people making the arguments names. Someone posted a picture of Meryl on a clear flat for her key point, which of course she received credit for, and no one refuted it--they just threw a fit and tried to take the focus off the skating and turn it onto the fans.

    8. The DW ubers have their panties in a knot because VM fans are always criticizing their programs and never, ever, ever say anything nice about them.
      It's vitriol, I tell you.

  2. I don't know, probably I'm wrong, but I have the feeling that Tessa and Scott are trying to deny not only their love but also their friendship...and this is really sad for me because I think that friendship is even more sacred than love.
It' s even more sad that some fans consider this normal...after 17 years of talking to each other every day and relying to each other...now it's normal that after Sochi they simply say goodbye...
Aside from any other consideration, it is also a bad move for their image...make me think that maybe they don't want to do shows. Who want to see a show with two people who seems to barely stand each other ?

I agree they appear to be denying any special or close friendship. Whether that has been intentional or not, the way the show has focused on Scott's GF and implied so many difficulties between Tessa and Scott to connect or be at ease around each other definitely creates the assumption that they are not very good friends.

Isn't it bizarre how they've effectively destroyed the image of themselves they carefully constructed before this. After this I'm not seeing how they can pretend to market a "connection.". They've essentially announced they have none. Maybe the plan is to market Scott and Cassandra. That's how they're treating this.

If that is the plan, it's going to fail miserably. No one wants to see Scott and the fake girlfriend.

There is truly nothing they haven't thrown under the bus. Their little daughter, their marriage, their skating career, etc.

    3. Well I think we are all asking the same question - what purpose did this reality show serve? And who originally brought this to the table. I think it has failed on so many levels including editing - that really it's hard to take any of it seriously.
Anyways - my advice is take a step back and let's see what happens post-Sochi...enjoy the skating...don't waste too much time and energy in microanalyzing the TV show...
