Blog posts don't always have titles but for this one I couldn't decide between what's up there and "This creeps me out."
Back when Scott and Tessa rose to international prominence in the skating world, I thought the Moir involvement was a little intense. It's not unusual to have stage parents and stage families in the entertainment industry, and sports is the entertainment industry, but after a point it can get squicky and the Moirs are long past that point.
I've said before how Brian Boitano said one big value add from his competition days was his mother was not a skating mother. He could come home and be himself without it always being about his skating.
And I remember in Scott and Tessa's Fan Fiction Series on the W Network, Alma Moir, his mother, a few drinks in along with Carole and Kara, said she thought the "Seasons" Olympic free dance was "About us." About them - a free program that they and their coaches had said was about the stages of a relationship between a man and a woman.
Alma has also frequently described her and the rest of the family's presence at competitions (and bunking in at nearby hotels) as nothing but a plus for their kids. Yes, they were needed to escort Jessica everywhere (still want to know exactly why Jessica constantly needed chaperones while shamming even though I have my own ideas).
I haven't nailed this down to a nutshell sized idea, but I think the continuation of Virtue and Moir's lie to where they have trapped themselves worse than someone stuck in Nutty Putty's Birth Canal, and horizons that should have opened up after Pyeongchang constricting back down to certain rural areas of southwestern Ontario are connected to the Moir vise grip on the duo. Tessa and Scott are the oxygen they breathe.
Why do you never talk about the Virtue family, especially Kate who has a very close relationship with Tessa ?

In EVERY competition it seems like all Scott's family is there, his grandma, his grandpa, his aunt, his uncle, his neighbor, his sister in law, his parrot, his cousin I think her name is Cara?... Doesn't that woman have a life? A job? The mom and the dad I can understand but the cousin? Since today is Scott's birthday let's see what Tessa is gonna post on Instagram to her man.

This Cara woman wasn't even a coach back in the Alabama town Scott was born, there are a lot of Canadian olympian FS who would like to coach there, also they only accept ice dancers, why not find more coaches to have a rink with single/pairs too? But for Scott giving his family money is more important, since Tessa doesn't like to work he couldn't give her a job. Elizabeth Manley that's a woman who should be a coach! not Cara Moir just because she likes to skate, I love to skate too, I wonder if Scott could give me a job. What a talent for Canada Liza is, if she decided to be a coach Canada could have a chance of at least silver in ladies single. DeleteI checked Scott's wikipedia page for info on the fiancée/child. There is a mention about her and a few words about the birth of a daughter. Based on the footnote though, the source for that info is a paragraph on... a Russian site. According to Google translate, Scott "dreams" for his daughter to have, as a role model... Tessa Virtue! Not her alleged mother (in fact, not a word about the woman!), not even his mother, but straight up Tessa. Bit odd for anyone who has a new family.

Not one picture with the happy family, or Scott holding his child etc. Alma Moir posted a picture of a small baby on her Fb - again, not a family picture, not of herself holding it, just a picture of a baby (I wonder if it is not a baby picture of one of their actual daughters, from a few years ago, if that theory is true).
It is how the story doesn't add up, how it lacks so many parts that would logically, normally be there that makes me smell a rat.

No sightings of Scott and the fiancée. No sightings of Scott and the baby either. Back when Scott announced his engagement, no skaters, no friends, nobody who really knows him congratulated him on his engagement. So many things don't add up.

I believe OC is a Drexel University professor named MG Piety. She is highly intelligent, a complex writer and is an adult figure skater herself as well as a figure skating fan and a philosophy professor PHD. She wrote an article after the Sochi Olympics where she used the phrase " were not allowed to win" in talking about Virtue and Moir. Much of the phrasing in her blogs of the last few years matches her writings on her university site. A clever person several years ago spotted the exact wording and arguments about VM and them being denied the gold medal at Sochi and named this person as being OC on this blog. It's interesting that the article about the Sochi "deal" that was made is now not to be found on her University blog site. But she has written a book on scandals and politics in figure skating. No, I don't think this was a big scam..I really believe she invented a fantasy in her life to fill a romantic void, as happens. A very well informed and highly intelligent and detail oriented person wrote this blog as OC not some amateur.

The strongest argument against OC and MG Piety being the same person is that OC is almost certainly Canadian while Piety is American (and lived in Denmark for 8 years). The two do share a rabid contempt for Davis and White, but that's not enough to suggest that they are one and the same.
