From the comments section (first set)

This can basically be skipped, but I wrote nearly two posts worth of comments in several post sections below and will just make them an actual post by compiling them here and probably a couple of other posts as there's a lot. At times obviously I'm answering somebody, but I think the question can be inferred from what I'm saying. I'm also going to clean up the typo and sentence construction mess.

Thanks for the question. When I first mentioned it, I think cancel culture. But now that you bring it up I believe in their circles too. My feeling isn't based on specific stuff I can identify. Right now it feel more like the "thin slicing" Malcolm Gladwell discusses in his book "Blink"  - how the subconscious processes info much faster than the conscious mind, producing a feeling, such as "We've got to get out of here!" My feeling has to do with cancel culture, the impact COVID has had on figure skating and the careers of skaters, and wondering about just how sick many people have become over how Scott and Tessa played this. The righteous streak particularly from Tessa is not a good look, but I also think she insulates herself from info she doesn't like, so she's behind the times. Based on a few things, I believe Scott has definitely seen this blog, and Skate Canada used to have its ISP parked here 24/7. But Tessa I think prefers to "curate" (influencer word) her information. In the past, if they'd have come clean, they had an in-place CYA with everyone in media and fellow celebrities on board. For years their PR teams had hammered home that legions of fans across the world were obsessed with them, had a boundary breaching fixation on them, and obviously they needed to "protect" themselves and their family and friends by erecting a zone of privacy. The blame would have landed on intrusive fans and the "delicate balance" VM needed to maintain between keeping up that wall and showing appreciation to their fans as elite figure skaters/touring professionals/brand ambassadors. Tessa spoke to this right as they were prepping their fan fictionalized reality show, which tells the mentality.

Cont'd: Now the mainstream media lacks ability to control the narrative. I agree with you that there is a trend to denounce what is immoral. VM observers can't be bullied into compliance with: "They had to protect themselves from stalker fans!" or other tactics that project responsibility externally. And I do think there is a chance a public figure will spill too. When that happens, others will come in to verify and amplify. For those who are newer to this couple and think this is all some massive secret they have to maintain in their real lives, I'd refer to their rift story from their book "From childhood dream to gold". or whatever it was called. Published 2010...? The story went that when Tessa was operated on and recovering from chronic exertional compartment syndrome, she and Scott failed to keep in touch while she was recovering in London and he was training in Detroit, and they didn't speak for months. Or see each other. So that when she returned to the ice, the vibe between them stayed off and was not righted again until close to the Olympics. While claiming they were awkwardly estranged in the run-up to Vancouver, the reality is they got married directly after the first Grand Prix (TEB) in fall 2009. Every skater knew, every skating reporter knew or got up to speed in due course, and certainly Skate Canada knew. And many fans knew. Nobody came forward and contradicted this rift thing.

That Scott and Tessa were often together after her surgery was in the public record. Their appearance in the broadcast booth at Skate America interviewed by Kurt Browning about Tessa's progress. Numerous joint appearances in London. Marianne Strong doing color commentary on a skating competition (the French couple who were using the same music from Pink Floyd as VM), discussing how Scott and Tessa spent her recovery in her apartment practicing facial expressions and everything they could to be prepped when she was ready to return to training (they were living together in London, obviously). The blog covered it, produced the youtubes, the articles, the interviews. Everybody just carried on pretending there had been a rift. To this day fans still talk about the "rift" and Scott and Tessa's tendency to not communicate, so there is willful self-deception here, which does not excuse VM.

VM lie. They lie unnecessarily. I think what they're doing has now intersected with the wrong moment in the culture, the Mascarin thing was a blunder, and I think the tendency to find bros for Tessa to "date" is also short-sighted. I don't have a timeline (obviously), but I don't think it's going to be pretty when it does come out. For me, personally, I also think the several interviews Tessa has given where the article's slant is her fame is 100% organic and obsession with her has been tidal waving over them and you can see the strain on her face doesn't particularly sit well on a woman who signed onto the W network's "Tessa and Scott" that aired just weeks before Sochi.

That's what I think, and I also think their "bullshit" in general that may have been flagged as unimportant before (it's only fans and fans are sort of infantile, wrongly entitled and trigger happy) is getting a second look and people might be thinking there's actually a real issue here. Fans are like worms to most of the media (the media is very thin-skinned on any pushback from the likes of fans). With the Moir family overall - their style and demeanor when it comes to fans speaks for itself.

Figure skating fans are a self-selecting group of women, the core of which is middle-aged. That demo has been bullied and shamed for years in general, and IMO that attitude has been internalized and makes that demographic sensitive, and prone to self-policing. Then there's the other skating demo which might skew to international, younger shippers who talk to each other and love to share theories. Because of gender bias and honestly class bias, the ham handed manipulation of fans may have been viewed as just what fans were asking for. I don't think that flies with how culture is currently trending. People are taking a second look at punching bag female-centered demographics, people are taking a second look at "You act that way so I was entitled to exploit it." and as you say, people have the time now.

 *

There's a cultural status gap and VM milk the hell out of it. The status gap lies in fans living vicariously through Virtue and Moir and projecting their romantic wish fulfillment upon them (or so goes the spin) so the label is they're sex starved females, they're living in a fantasy world, they prefer their fantasy world to reality, it's all very sympathetic yet for the real world Tessa and Scott, who are very busy, very famous, have money, are very important and connected, this interest in them from needy fans is a burden even as they appreciate and empathize. Or so goes the media slant (Promoted and disseminated by VM's pr.) Aren't they patient! Isn't it a lot!

VM are kneading and working and stirring this crap up seventeen ways from Sunday and have done so since time. Every shot at their fan base was free because their fan base is at the bottom of the status totem pole. I have never seen any other fan group self-recriminate the way skating fans beat themselves up when Virtue and Moir set them up and then detonate their hopes to hell.

At this point I want Scott to enact a marriage to Jackie Mascarin the way he enacted vacations with Jessica Dube, Kaitlyn Lawes and Cassandra Hilborn. DO it dude. If Ilderton won't throw open the doors of the community center, if your family clout won't get anyone to sign off on that photo shoot (although I feel a photo shoot has already been done and everybody is just waiting for the timing), get married on "the farm". Get married in Florida. Get those pictures. Make Jackie wear an appropriate second wedding dress with a doily looking veil. Get Morgan Reilly and his newly revived public profile to pose with Tessa on the sun parched field. Do it. Lay down your cards.

  1. Thank you for making this post. TBH,this is still insane but what they are selling is crazier. Scott engaged to the only girl he ever skated other than Tessa and Tessa is a wag, I swear it's a crappy fanfiction, like they sat down and came up with the worst possible scenario. As a new fan I thought you were crazy when I first saw this blog but after everything I can't say Tessa and Scott or their families are sane or normal at all. My goodness they are frustrating!

  2. I replied with a huge comment but moved it to a post and deleted it here.

Those minor-ish Canadian male athletes must be a thirsty bunch.

The fan fiction is crappy. Some of it is just that behind the polish Scott and Tessa are vulgar. Even if the choice to be vulgar is strategic and merely reflects that they think fans are lower than dirt, it doesn't let them off the hook.

They ripped off the most popular fan fiction and fan theories on the web for their reality show. No doubt some of that was expedience but it was also reinforcing and mirroring - fans would see their own theories reflected in the reality show and be "We were right!"

A lot of times with them, the lightbulb doesn't go off with me until later. I go back and take a second look and it's - DAMN. Like the Mascarin drop. They got a vise grip on how that was reported, which was all fan-focused. It wasn't until you look back and see how it was executed that the attention grab becomes obvious. Look at the forum they used. Look how rude and creepy that was. But all of that was swamped by the "engagement" drop. The talking points about how fans react were already out there before Scott even made his announcement.
Scott and Tessa / their reps tell the press what to report about fans and that's what's "reported."

Years ago, on Mad Men, Jessica Pare, an inexperienced, somewhat gauche actress, was installed in a major role and the show runner gave her a showcase singing a French song to Don Draper. It was pretty dire. Before the last note had stopped resonating, if we can call it resonating, a million entertainment pieces came out themed on "A Star is Born". Those pieces were written off HBO press releases before the episode even aired. VM use the same tactics, only they are manufacturing a narrative about fans. A narrative both about how extensive and unrelenting fan interest is, how massive, and how awful.

I mean, Scott (really the whole team) drops this announcement in the rudest possible way at a Hall of Fame ceremony and fans are the problem. This is intentional. They are doing this to agitate - if they can even get a couple of comments to illustrate their storyline it's worth it, if they get none they'll make the same claims anyway.

    1. Worth noting another angle V/M have on their side -- the media loves writing about fans as raving conspiracy theorists obsessed with celebs' personal lives. This Atlantic article is the latest example (https://www.theatlantic.com/technology/archive/2020/07/fake-pregnancy-celebrity-theories-benedict-cumberbacth-babygate/614089), but this very blog was covered in a few articles during Pyeongchang about how crazy V/M shippers are, without V/M needing to do any legwork. (There were also articles laughing about fic writers.)

As a longtime fan who also, long ago, was in the right place at the right time to learn about V/M's reality firsthand, I got used to separating truth from anything their coverage reports about anything. But I've never understood the dynamic in this fandom that encourages the vast majority to meekly accept what V/M's coverage tells them about themselves, even when they know they haven't said any such thing ("But we like Carmen!") and they can't point to other fans who have, either. I've seen no parallel in my other fandoms.

      Delete
    2. Oh my God, the Carmen spin. Fans ADORED Carmen.

First of all, it's demographic. The skating demographic has been bullied everywhere. Young fans who write fan fiction, middle aged women who have been told their entire life that their opinions have no value and they carry no voice in the marketplace. Remember when Skate Canada went on this big campaign to attract men to figure skating? What message did that send to the many women already following and investing in the sport?

People are very confrontation averse and can be controlled by bullies. Scott and Tessa have fans on forums intentionally or unaware carrying their water for them, keeping fans with the party line or mocking and harrassing them until they shut up. For years there were fans on forums claiming to have seen Scott and Jessica making out in front of Bryce Davison (always on the LIPS - it was hilarious) or that Bryce and Scott had fought. What was that about? The stories were made up, but why?

This is enabled by the fact that the forums use screen names. You can't post without them. That's an important reason there are no screen names here. There have been plenty of trolls but I've never seen that as a huge issue. I can control that and if people don't buy into what the blog is saying that's not my business.

I think there's a system behind the media writing about fans as raving conspiracy theorists. Many public figures want people to think vast numbers of fans are obsessed with and invested in them, tracking them way outside their professional endeavors. That simply enhances their marketability and name recognition. Did you know Tessa Virtue is the most famous woman in Canada? Celine Dion who?

      Delete
    3. BTW - just let someone on a fan forum mention the existence of this blog and here comes, "Please don't bring that deranged website here." So if they want to mention something on a forum, it is always prefaced with, "I know the blog is crazy and totally out if its mind but just saying that one post was funny." in order for their comment not to get flagged.

Back to fans. All of these high profile people are working with major agencies who are keeping their name out there and every single one of these people wants a brand life outside of their profession. Fan derangement and insanity is one tactic. I believe totally that the article you cite is simply part of this. With this one trend you are showing that legions of people are interested in and obsessed with your client, legions of people are peoccupied with a fantasy world they've built around your client - so none of these people can be trusted.

See how convenient? Masses of people who can be targeted with brand partnerships and ambassadorships. But trust NONE of them. Only trust the representation coming from the talent themselves or their reps.

It's about control. They value and devalue fans simultaneously. A tour de force of gaslighting.

    4. TL:DR I think that Atlantic article was pitched to the magazine. The we have a huge fan following but they're all arranged is perceived as good for the bottom line of anyone who can set that up for themselves. Leaves the only credible messaging in the hands of the talent, while establishing the talent nevertheless commands massive amounts of public attention, whether they do or don't.

    5. Related to that, it's not accidental Meghan Markle's one of the featured celebs in that article, and while I take no position on baby Archie's origin story, it's been amazing this year watching how hamfisted her retaliatory PR game is (posing for paps then threatening legal action, timing all gossip drops for whenever news from the actual royals occurs). Never paid her and Harry much attention before their series of tantrums, but yikes. I sort of wondered, since Tessa had been wading in the same Toronto media society waters (Jessica Mulroney, Lainey Gossip), if Tessa has seemingly pulled back from those women due to the Markle stuff as well. Don't need that added attention being aimed her way.

    6. (This was commenter from 9:00 AM again!)

    7. PS if Markle was in the article than that's the source. HER PR is relentless.

    8. I have no opinion on baby Archie's origin story either but the entire thing was obviously full of some kind of fuckery. More germane is how the media glossed over or somehow mostly failed to notice. As with the VM thing, what does that tell us of the role the media actually plays in our lives.

Tessa is wading into those waters and, until recently (per reports) Mulroney and Markle had a symbiotic relationship. Lainey I have always stayed away from as she's deranged.

The treatment of fans is a tactic. Straw man what fans are doing, make it hyperbolic, then dismiss it. There's something there they want fans to stay away from and that strategy is tried and true.

I've noticed on some platforms like TikTok there is a strong, justifiably angry pushback from previously marginalized women in the culture - older women, heavy women, women who aren't particularly cute and therefore don't belong on social media, women who stan and fan and are sick and tired of being dismissed, manipulated and shamed. Sick and tired of their interests being stigmatized.

I hope there's some cross-over to other platforms and this pushback will start showing up among fans who are tired of getting used and abused by the PR strategems of people in the public eye.

  3. I often wonder if their competitive side - and their family's vicarious involvement with Tessa and Scott's success - has become perversely channeled into this PR scheme. Only instead of VM challenging themselves to find new highs in their figure skating, they keep challenging themselves to find new lows in their PR. Just remember that everything they do is a mirror and bait, so if it's terrible, it just reflects their opinion of you. Contempt does not start to describe it.

  4. Thanks for this OC! I've read every comment you've made already, but it's great to have everything in one place when I need to refer back (if I start thinking about something).

You answered my question about cancel culture on a previous comment section, and I've been thinking. A lot of content creators and influencers seem to be erring on the side of caution with regards to their public perception.

While I believe inevitably that the other shoe will fall, I wonder if it'll have more to do with their (I mean people in their circles) own image protection and "innocence" than being tired of VM's bs.Cancel culture has proved to be disastrous for a number of careers, some pretty big ones too. A smaller fish (much smaller) wouldn't stand a chance if they're caught on the wrong side of the backlash.I also wonder if this might lead to people turning on each other, not just on VM. Self preservation can be a dangerous thing, especially when "fame" (reputation) and money are involved.

And I think you're right about their competitive side channeling their sick pr hobby. When you've worked towards something you're entire life (through nearly every important developmental period and milestone) and suddenly it's over (or you're retired) you're going to unravel, and inevitably make worsening choices. Worse than the ones you've made before.

I honestly don't believe VM are going to be able to see this for themselves. Their too self involved and oblivious to how much things have changed, drastically and in such a short period of time. I'm leaning heavily towards them being "outed" and it's going to be messy.

You might have been being sarcastic, but I can definitely see this (and in my own experiences I have seen this happen) being the case.

    Thanks again for your insight.

    1. Somebody up above brought up Meghan Markle Two of her promoters in the media have written a biography that seems to have created backlash. Other reporters are posting on twitter that these biographers said one thing two years ago, and are saying the opposite now. And it's not just them. At the level of VM and even royal reporting, it's not news, it's entertainment and celebrity. That is all about catering to the subject and not the audience unless for some reason the story lands in the "real news" sector, which Virtue Moir have not, and which the royal family only did once that I can research, when Princess Diana died.

Everybody who hsa reported on Virtue Moir has lied to us. The million interviews talking about fans and their close friendship when the facilitators of their interviews know they're married parents. How do they cover their asses when/if this breaks.

I agree Virtue Moir aren't going to come out. It's going to be someone in their circles or an observer who gets mad and knows in the current climate they won't get the pushback they would have gotten few years ago.

The backlash will be tricky because all of the reporters have collaborated with Virtue Moir, so who will be leading the figurative charge? I figure the smaller fish will be coming out of the woodwork, numerous fans, and the media will be spinning and lying about their own participation.

    2. The fascinating thing about the latest instalment of the Markle debacle is how reporters are willing to throw each other under the bus AND expose the workings of the media and paparazzi - I read an article today by a publication that exposed Meghan's leaking to another publication re: the complaints about drones taking picture of them at the house they are staying in. This is the type of thing that gets talked about in forums, not reported by the press themselves. The times they are a' changin...

      Delete
    3. Yes, and they are changing organically. I don't have a timeline for Virtue and Moir but I think the clock is ticking.

      Delete
    4. But who can help them?? Not their families or their coaches. CBC? Toronto star? London free press? They need a person with power and credibility ,someone that help them to go out this situation with a good reputation.... I don’t know if this person exists or has the courage to do it

      Delete
    5. Do they want help? This Mascarin stunt and the COVID crap doesn't say so. They are the ones pumping these stories into the internet. Tessa could have developed her post-Pyeongchang, post-skating influencer career, Scott could do whatever, keep your mouths shut and fans are happy to let things lie. Fans secretly keeping their fingers crossed of course, but whose business is that? That's not "intrusive." But they blew themselves up again. They suddenly make a lot of noise, call attention to themselves and once the spotlight is on them say fans did it.

Read on tumblr that Scott dating his first partner and Tessa dating the captain of his favorite hockey team - "You couldn't make this up." Yes you could. They did.

I looked at their Ryan Pyette interview screen caps again recently, the ones when they were promoting their reality show. The facial expressions make them each look as if someone was going to kill their first born if they didn't go through pushing their series. But that's just not true - they're not under threat. From here it starts to look like Karen behavior - act entitled and arrogant when you think you're in control, turno n the emo when things get messy.

I wonder how far Tessa can take a career based on her credibility as a public figure. So far none of her sponsors work with her exclusively. Nivea uses a million influencers, her mattress thing looks like a one off for a limited period of time, she'll get more national brands that have diversified its representation and other short-term projects. I suspect Roots walked away from them in 2010. Went into it expecting them to come clean very soon, walked out when they realized Scott and Tessa were keeping it up.

Since it's well-known Virtue and Moir, while representing themselves as single people off on their individual pursuits post skating, are actually married people with kids, that's a big ask for a major business partner to get in bed with them or work with them in a big way. I think it will actually limit where Tessa can go. The culture enabled them so far - we are in an era where PR firms advertise they can alter reality for you on line. It's a business. Tessa and Scott are, excuse the expression, fake news. It would be nice if they had the sort of guide you describe. Unfortunately they are grown ups, without acting like it, and the culture is changing. The only thing protecting them, IMO, is they are not nearly as famous as they pretend to be.

  5. For me neither T&S nor people in their circle will tell the truth... after so many years the lies are too big to escape from them ...they prefer a sad life at this time

    ReplyDelete
  6. SO many people outside their circle know though. I remember when the reality show was on, two guys - I think bartenders - from London posted cryptic tweets like, "I like them both but two minutes into watching this I'm already pissed." and the reply was, "Your mistake was watching it in the first place." Then the comment below the TIF red-carpet pic which was WTF is this - everybody in London knows she's married to her skating partner.

Just look at the six degrees of separation chain in theirs or anyone else's lives and know the awareness of their status extends much further out than six degrees.

Why they haven't been exposed before: To be credible that person would have to put their name to it, and why make themselves a target, particularly in the influencer and celebrity-worship era we are just (fingers crossed) emerging from. Celebrities who have armies of bots and trolls to come after you and even dox you. There's not even a shadow of a motive when you can gossip and drag and give your opinion in private or n person.

When you know something and have real life people to chat with about it there's not much incentive to blow someone up on the web. Why take that on?

That's what made this hold together in the past. I agree times have rapidly changed, and a lot. They stepped into v. dangerous territory with the MAGA crap and the location and timing of the engagement stunt (as usual with everything Moir, that was boorish as hell), and spamming the news with the old bullshit about enraged fans. I think they are trying to creep back from where they took this. I can't express why I think this, but messing with MAGA crap is like holding a grenade in your hand. I don't know how MAGA Mascarin actually is beyond mocking deportation and wearing a MAGA hat, but you can't be ironic about MAGA. They left their lane and that's when they're gonna be in trouble. Do they even know what their lane is?

For them, Mascarin fit the bill. The irresistible trolling opportunity with her being the "first partner." And inside the loop so they can trust her for the job, since she's connected to the longterm fake SO wrangler Cara Moir.

Tessa hanging with Jessica Mulroney just like all of those celebrities who hang out with terrible people because these terrible people treat THEM really well, never factoring in how awful these people are to ordinary citizens. That's another hot topic that could blow up. Tessa was one of the celebrities "empowering" (one of her favorite words) a truly terribly behaved, nasty person.

    1. I am glad this blog is more active lately because outside of this place I keep my opinions to myself. I tried to say it a few times but people just laughed at me SMH. People buy their crap no matter how ridiculous what they are selling. They still see the weird shit going on: "i can't believe he is engaged to his first skating partner, I didn't even know there was someone other than Tessa!/ I can't believe Tessa dating a hockey player from Scott's favorite team!" etc. Come on people wake up and smell the shitty fanfiction they are selling

      Delete
    2. Despite Tessa's numerous appearances with Jessica Mulroney on the web, and several collaborations, she wasn't dragged into the story. Her PR could have interceded for her but I suspect she's not famous enough. In this instance, she's lucky that's the case. She doesn't need a tabloid reporter or actual journalist asking around and finding out what's really up with her.

VM PR has been telling us since Pyeongchang that she's the most famous woman in Canada and I think in the top five of the most famous athletes in the world. She's not even in the top five of the most famous female athletes in Canada. Her PR has pushed the superstardom thing hard enough so you'd think they'd impact the google algorithm, but they haven't made a dent because the organic non-promoted interest isn't there. Their ubers are there - ubers from years past and new ones from Pyeongchang, fellow influencers and brand reps are there for the you hype me and I'll hype you routine, but the most famous female athlete in the world should have more twitter followers than the low 200k and more instagram followers than the low 300k. There are influencers some of us have never heard of with triple those numbers.

The Shibs aren't grasping for fame nearly as strenuously as VM's PR is trying for Tessa and they're barely 100k behind her in followers. Without the photo shoots, the bait and switch and the trolling and without the constant promoted storylines telling us they're massively famous.

If she were that famous she'd be in Serena Williams territory anchoring advertising campaigns, signing onto major corporate sponsorships. Instead she's in the influencer territory still where she's a brand ambassador and brand rep and gets product sponsorships. This is lucrative but it's not superstar lucrative. They trended in Pyeonchang but neither she nor Scott "stuck" after that despite a big push to convert.

    3. If figure skating had a different demographic VM would have been dragged to filth long ago and the whole thing would have disintegrated. This is just about the last bastion where fans are infantalized and easily cowed. Even though I suspect some of those who bully are there to police commentary as a JOB.

I don't even think gymnastics fans put up with this crap (that's another female centered demo) The press is accustomed to bullying female fans. Fans couldn't even publicly discuss the DW-VM thing in 2014, let alone this mess. Imagine any other sport where that couldn't be analyzed.

Another element is fans become attached to their theories. They love the idea this is all real life played out in public, it bonds some of them together, and if they didn't have it there would be a void. Yesterday I read someone's tumblr that had a theory about Scott being "naive, gullible and pliable", a target for anyone with a vagina who knew how to "bait" him. It's extremely detailed and she has the entire scenario laid out. Her tone reminds me of a particular fan who flogged the Pelletier/Virtue rumor in 2010-2011. While this was a Sale/Pelletier fan upset at the end of their marriage, she was extremely attached to the Virtue/Pelletier theory. She'd come to this blog with, "Now just hear me out -- what if" and I'm like, no, there's no "just hear me out." These aren't alternating theories, Virtue and Moir are a married couple fact. Despite Kelly Ann Conway's belief, there's no such thing as "alternate facts."

I've also read elsewhere that this blog is a cult which is the classic straw man set up to dismiss platforms talking about inconvenient subjects.

      Delete
    4. A lot of people on the internet are extremely diligent. They've combed the web for property records and I'm sure combed the web for marriage and birth records and school registrations. They scrutinize social media but from the wrong lens.

If they would cut that out and get out of the fan space - get WAY out of the fan space and stop thinking like a fan altogether and stop representing themselves as a fan in any way - that diligence would probably lead them to reality sooner rather than later but they'd have to let go of all assumptions and all their ego because those two things will lead them right back to square one. Everyone around VM can see a fan from space.

There have been a million theories about Virtue and Moir. The Dube/Davison era. In that era Scott wasn't in Tessa's league and if only she'd see him as other than a friend. He loves her so.

This was followed by the Tessa is a virgin and Scott's a real man so he needs to relieve his manliness with a tart like Cassie. Currently Scott is led around by the nose by Mascarin and at nearly age 33 after he has been an elite athlete competing internationally and (on social media) a veteran of 3 previous relationships, not to mention suave and confident enough to pack three condoms for Sochi, this chick from Canada/Florida has led his dumb ass astray. She has skills, don't you know.

Some of these fans need to get out of the house.

Some of these fans happy to discuss every Virtue Moir theory under the sun are enraged by this blog. I wonder if they have ever asked themselves why it makes them so mad and why this blog causes stress. If this blog were as bananas as they pretend it is, it wouldn't get numerous daily page views even when it's quiet, it wouldn't be referenced elsewhere if only to dismiss how crazy. I think they are extremely upset at the idea of being lied to and manipulated to this extent, they're reluctant to let go of the idea that this is all being played out in public, and some people think this sort of situation is impossible to be kept "secret". They don't know it's not secret and they don't think about exactly how it would work for someone to "expose them" on the internet in a way that would stick. Nobody wants to be doxxed. And imagine if they were doxxed the blowback that would have in their real life. And for what? These two idiots and their idiot choices? Nobody in the media is up for doing it either because they've all been complicit and the media/entertainment space is completely transactional.

    5. P.S., correction: Scott said he was packing TWO (not three) condoms for Sochi.

      Not to brag or anything.

  7. Who knows the truth is too scared to speak I think ... they had lot of times to do it even before the fake wedding but nothing happened .... I will wait but it is hard to believe that they are a family when Rielly likes almost every like of Tessa and spent the quarantine with her in his house and Scott said he is living is best life .... ps... the speech before fix you is heartbreaking, never seen Tessa in that mood and Scott with sad eyes and smile

    1. Reilly doesn't even have to be doing his own liking - his reps can handle that. This whole thing only exists on social media. Scott's family used to handle a lot of his. Reilly did not spend quarantine with her and Scott isn't living with Jackie Mascarin. He and Tessa live together with their kids. If you want to feel better go back and read through more of the blog starting from when she was pregnant after the Olympics 2010.

    2. And now lays and Pepsi sponsorships, with a leafs hoodie .... the day of the engagement anniversary.....

    3. Not to mention morgan also appears in Pepsi and lays adds. Not with Tessa of course but more time passes less convincing they are. These people are manipulative beyond belief

    4. I also watched your old posts... i’am so happy for Tessa and Scott and their little ones... no matter if they are with J and M for the fans... I hope the VM family having amazing days at the lake now with the new puppy and wish them an happy life

    5. They're together with their kids but the J&M thing is not "for the fans." They pretended that was the raason long ago but these days it's just because they are don't want to face the music. They can't stand not having the upper hand. IMO they were stupid and let their family - and Tessa, frankly - assume a malicious and morally superior position when the fans were groping in the dark and merely responding to their bait.

I thought Tessa's mini-lecture about supporting Scott suspending his instagram cause fans criticized choices he made in his personal life (read, phony PR put out by Scott and Tessa) was beyond. This is a woman who does not want to be called out and is delayed perceiving her own hypocrisy.

  8. I think that at Scott ‘s wedding we will Tessa with a big diamond ring.... it is the right end of that narrative and wag Tessa is on the way

  9. I looked at your old posts ... wow it’s clear that Tessa was pregnant but it doesn’t mean that Scott is the dad and they are still together. If Scott is a dad , he is an amazing dad ... I don’t know how the MAGA can live with a mini Tessa around her every day. Mo is lucky , he is with the teammates now so no mini Scott with him. I know you said that T&S are safe at home with the kids, and I hope you are right , but it is hard to believe it especially after the last Tessa’s post

    3. The blog has never shared how it knows Scott and Tessa are married, but it is a fact. Not a guess. The content of the blog is there so fans can see how much Scott and Tessa have lied in public. The content of the blog does not "prove" they are married - that proof, and how I know, aren't here.

However the blog does prove they are huge liars. Shameless liars.

Don't believe ANYTHING they tell you. You will be much better off side eyeing one or two things that are true, such as Tessa likes clothes and chocolate and Scott likes hockey, than believing anything that comes out of their mouths. Not just their personal life, but how they feel about their programs, their training, their coaches, touring, etc.

    5. I, along with countless others, do have firt hand knowledge and I've never laid it out on the blog. I've never worried much about doxing but that is still not something that's going on the blog.

    1. In one of his last chats he still called her his fiance.

      Delete
    2. He's lying. Every single thing they say about their personal lives is a lie. He doesn't have a fiancee', and he never had previous girlfriends. He had one girlfriend in his life, that woman is Tessa, who has been is wife since 2009. It's coming up on 11 years this fall.

    3. Tessa isn't with Reilly, she's with Scott. She and Scott live together.

The fans I sometimes feel the sorriest for are those who believe they're being mature and grown up, those who believe they are the "sane" fans and accept Scott and Tessa on face value, when the reality is they have been lied to.

  11. I'd just say stop trying to figure out what's going on with them based on what's in public. That is all fiction. From the beginning their PR hs had a nasty streak. They like to bait and switch. They like to get fans feeling good and then throwing a stink bomb into. From the beginning the focus has been on Scott's love life which I think is kind of funny considering that otherwise Tessa has the higher social media profile, but I suspect that goes to two things- the temperment of the two of them and the great desire of Moirville to be sure we know Scott isn't gay.

    1. Scott gay ... no problem I think .. I don’ understand why now that they are retired they continue this show ... at the beginning, probably was their PR , for me now, someone blackmailing them ... if they don’t act like enemies, the truth about marriage and kids will relieved

    1. I can believe that they are married but the kids .. in 11 years no one never seen them with their children at the park , or at the grocery or in London or Ilderton or at the lake .. the kids can’t leave the house or what

    2. Anon at 3:57 they live normal lives and are seen frequently. What you mean is this isn't publicized. If somebody mentions it it's ignored, and they don't pursue because who wants to go against somebody's PR machine? Who wants to be doxxed? Why is it worth it. Again, this is not secret, not hidden, Tessa and Scott aren't sereptitious. They simply get to control their own narrative and as long as they stay strictly inside the entertainment/transactional/promotional space and never enter the legal or news space it will stay that way.

  16. Admit that they are married with kids and all the things you said ... what does J earn from this fake engagement and wedding ? Money? A new job in Canada ? I don’t think she left her family , friends and work for nothing ( only hate from the fans) and Rielly ? He has money and seems famous so why he is with Tessa .. as sportsnet said they are new power couple ?

  17. Who pays J? Tessa and Scott? The shop? Ilderton ? Skate Canada? And what does Mo get in return?

  18. Wag (engaged) Tessa is on the way ..finally the photo of the lovely couple with the puppy .... Waiting for one with the ring ... she seems very happy

    ReplyDelete
  19. No one pays J , she is with Scott , she said yes and has a ring , who knows, probably a baby on the way ( she left her job and Florida during pandemic )
Tessa wanted a man with a job, a man who take care of her as she deserves ..she wants to be a business woman, with him she will
earn money and sponsorships , they are a power couple .. probably Tessa and Rielly are already engaged , she will be a wag and that will help her future job
