Jeff's birthday was the day before Scott's. If he's just now saying thanks, you gotta give Scott at least until tomorrow. (I doubt he'll say anything, just trying to keep it fair!)
Actually, Scott didn't get the huge quantity of birthday wishes on his facebook page as in past years. There were more wishes on the fan page ("Addicted to VM") than his public page. I think the hardcore fans remain enthusiastic but in general there's fatigue with his lack of fan outreach so why bother posting too much. He really doesn't seem to like much activity over there at his place.
Like the blogger pointed out, they've already said a very nice and sincere thanks on their official website. That should be enough to last through the next season.
I agree, the virtuemoir.com thanks was intended as a blanket thanks for all past and future well-wishes. That being the case, I expect some consistency here and that Scott no longer makes time to plug stuff on his fan facebook just because somebody paid him and Tessa to endorse them or their product and he wants fans to make a purchase or buy tickets. Fans have purchased tickets in the past, fans have already bought things (like Roots clothes) that they've endorsed, and that should cover it. No more plugs on your fan page, Scott.
